User Agent Switcher 0.4 and Web Developer 0.8 have now been released.
Admittedly these were released a little ahead of schedule - particularly Web Developer - as I wanted to have them available before Firefox 0.9. I did a fair amount of testing over the weekend, but inevitably some bugs will - and have - slipped through. The following issues have already been discovered:
- User Agent Switcher
- The user agent is not reset when the browser closes
- Web Developer
- ‘Visited Links’ features do not work in Firefox 0.9
- ‘Edit CSS’ sidebar has an oversized margin
The announcement of a new default theme for Mozilla Firefox also came a little too late for me to include it, but I will look into supporting this for the next release.

The render mode and JavaScript buttons are already fixed for the next release.
I’ll take a look at texturizer and see why it’s not working with ‘Edit CSS’ and I’ll fix the ‘Edit CSS’ not refreshing on switching tabs for the next release as well.
From the features page: “populates all form fields with their name as their value”.
As I mentioned in the post these releases were ahead of schedule in order to be available for Firefox 0.9 so there are some bugs still to work though.

I found a few bugs/mistakes in the Web Developer toolbar.
First of all, the ‘improved tab and window support’. If I have a tab with a site in quirks mode and a tab with a site in standard complience mode, switching tabs doesn’t change the mode-button. Same with the javascript-button.
And about the ‘Edit CSS’ feature. If I take http://texturizer.net/firefox/extensions/, for example, and open the ‘Edit CSS’ sidebar, the site will not display properly anymore. Worse when I close the sidebar again (the reload did work better.)
Also, when I have the CSS sidebar open and then switch tabs, the sidebar doesn’t change with it, which again has something to do with the ‘improved tab and window support’.
Also, a question. What does ‘populate form fields’ do?
