I saw Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on the IMAX last night and it was very good.
I enjoyed the first two films - even though they were not great films - because I had read the books and it was fun to see them brought to the big screen. This film, though, is undoubtedly the best of the series so far. Large parts of the book were cut - something which is going to be an issue for all the future films in the series as the books continue to get longer - but the film holds together pretty well. This film is also more mature than the first two and the acting of the main three characters continues to improve from film to film.
I have not read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix yet as I have been waiting for it to come out in paperback, but I already have it in my Amazon wish list ready to pick up when it is released on August 10.

It was just a bigger picture - not the full IMAX experience as a film has to be specially filmed for that.
I was just wondering after seeing the latest film when the paperback version of book 5 would be out... thanks for saving me the research!
And thanks for Web Developer too... what an awesome tool.
The story gets much darker in the Order of the Phoenix.

what! you've seen Harry Potter on IMAX? Did they just project it cinema sized on the IMAX screen ... or was it the full IMAX experience?
I've gone to watch the matrix @ the imax once ... and they just screened it normal size on the imax screen ... so dissapointing!
