Thanks for this great update to an already great product. It saves me hours of development time every week. I have donated before, I just donated again, I will continue to donate in the future. Keep up the good work.

Ahh, I’m still waiting (hoping) to see a “Here’s How I Did My Photos and Videos Pages” post.
Happy coding!

Jonathon - I am glad you find the extension useful and thank you so much for the donation.

Dave - As soon as I get some free time from supporting this new release then a post about my photos and videos pages is next on my list.

Just got the new update - trés cool. One issue I do have is that CSS -> View Style information - keeps insisting that I have the DOM Inspector installed - which I already have (v 1.8.11)

I am currently running Firefox v 2.0.0.1 - has anyone else come across this issue?

Hi!

Thank you for the upgrade, it works much better now!! :-)
It is strange, but a few parts seem to be translated (in my case in german) and the rest is not- but this doesn’t really matter.
One more idea for further versions: what about syntax-highlighting? This would be very cool, I think.

Again, thank youer sooooo much for this great extension!!!

Regards, Azrael

Pete - Please read the FAQ and this forum post.

Azrael - Nothing has been translated so I’m not sure what you are seeing and syntax highlighting is something I am looking into for a future release - please see the multiple requests in the forums.

Oh, okay I just noticed that only the menu “tools” shows the german expressions for test as the Speedreport (in my Version it is called “Geschwindigkeitsreport anzeigen”). Either this is because of the websites or because of the earlier (german) Version of WD.

Hi Chris!
Now I know what you was doing last december holidays: constructing a battery of WebDev firework rockets. Beautiful start of 2007: I’m sure the twinkling stars are mirroring in the eyes of lots of people during the whole year! :-)
I’ve 3 REM’s:
1. The Validate Local CSS button has a small error.
2. Due to some weak points in the w3c CSS-validator, the links from the WebDev to the validator can cause misunderstandings.
3. Suggestion for the “Red Cross Discussion”.

For better visibility and usability than these comment lines, I wrapped it all into this illustrated WebDev suggestions page.

I see the topics of your TODO list are already struggling for a good ranking, like webpages in competition for SEO. :-)
I hope these fresh 3 can find a place between them.

francky:

1. This is a bug and only for people upgrading from a previous version - I’ll see if I can fix this.
2. The ‘Tools’ are configurable so you can rename them and add new ones yourself - I have no plans to change anything.
3. Please see the multiple comments in the previous post about the icons and read the answer that I have given over and over again: “I am not a designer, but if you don’t like the icons you are free to override them using userChrome.css”

Thanks for this add-on, I love it and use it lots.

The only issue I have is when using the “Style Information” link. I work on some sites that have a ton of divs, and so sometimes the div list is too long, and I can’t see the last div. It would be really nice if the div list is too long, that it would automatically show you the farthest right div in the list.

Maybe other people deal with this in a different way, or maybe there’s a fix for this already?

Thanks!

Jade - I am looking into this for a future release.
