Web Developer 1.1.4 and User Agent Switcher 0.6.10

New versions of the Web Developer and User Agent Switcher extensions have been released. They are both patch releases fixing minor issues, as well as updating the extension download and update URLs to hopefully help with my bandwidth costs.

If you are reading this on chrispederick.com you will also see that I have redesigned my site. I am still working out some of the kinks so let me know if you see anything funky and look for some blog posts in the future describing some of the new features.

Nice work! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into this, I use it every day. I have a feature request - reload the stylesheet (as opposed to reloading the whole page).

Just wanted to say “thanks” for the hard work and time you invest in creating this quite awesome and useful add-on. A great tool for web designers and programmers alike! (From beginner to veteran). I hope to donate a bit when finances aren’t quite so ‘budgeted’ - it’s well worth it!

Thank you for giving this addon to the world. You have changed the way I (as well as many other people) develop sites. I hope karma returns the favor and takes care of you back.

since I am here I will state my feature request:

When editing CSS, background img calls dont work because often times they have relative paths.. If there is someway to make it so that editing css keeps the original path, that would be great.

Again, I cannot say thanks enough..

Abe - This is a known issue and should be fixed in the next release.

Hello !
First, as everybody : congratulations for this extension. I know no developper who’s not using it !
I’m going to have a job focused on accessibility and I have a feature request for an incoming version : “degrade view to Black and White”, as a bonus also a degradation in B&W + 2 grays.

Do you think it’s possible ? or even in place (i may have missed it !)

Keep going on this way !

Thank you for your work. It is very covenient. Will you develop user agent for Opera? I’ll be very glad if you do that.

Hi, system death led to new sys and addon reinstall fest - but now I can’t get my favorite addon command of all time (CSS on/off) to work. Do you know of any addon conflicts or other obvious reasons why I can’t use it now? Running latest versions of almost 100 addons in 2.0.0.5.

Anonymous - My only suggestion is to try installing the extension under a new profile. I do not know of any specific conflicts, but with that many extensions it could be any of the other extensions causing a problem.

Thanks Chris, works fine. I guess I’ll gradually eliminate the culprit as I add them across (if there is one, I’ll let you know). And thanks too - I wasn’t even aware of profiles (mighty handy). “Anon” :)

I use Web Developer every day so I thought it only made sense for me to send you a tangible thank you (no I don’t mean this comment). Thanks for creating applications that make technology folks lives easier.

Best,
 Jason
