So Friends finally ended this week with the finale watched by an estimated 51 million people. I was not one of the 51 million as I figured it would be pretty predictable, but I did watch the season finale of The O.C. The Sports Guy on ESPN has a great article on why The O.C. is better than Friends. Bring on season two in November...

I finally saw The Return Of The King last weekend...what a fantastic achievement of Peter Jackson's. Here's hoping that he gets the recognition he so richly deserves at the Oscars following on from his success at The Golden Globes. It was also great to see The Office win two awards (Television Series - Musical Or Comedy, Actor In A Leading Role - Musical Or Comedy Series) at The Golden Globes in categories traditionally dominated by the major American comedies. The nomination of Keisha Castle-Hughes for an Oscar as Actress In A Leading Role was also deserving after her amazing performance in Whale Rider.

I have been watching the first series of The West Wing recently after CBS started showing the episodes late at night. It is such a great show and it is annoying that I don't get NBC so I cannot watch the current series.

This week's episode of The Amazing Race was undoubtedly the most exciting of the series and we are now down to just four teams left. I also noticed that The Family returns this week having originally been postponed while the war in Iraq was happening. However, my favorite show of the moment is Keen Eddie, purely because of the repeated use of the word "w**ker" when Americans clearly do not understand how rude it is.

For a bit of nostalgia check out the Roobarb (and Custard) web site. The entire series is being released for online viewing over the next three months, and new episodes are going to be made using Flash.

After the disappointment of Jenna winning Survivor (described as "...the best season, with the worst ending...") the only thing that could redeem the situation is the return of The Amazing Race. Season four begins on Thursday, May 29, 2003.
