Firefox 2.0 Compatibility

The User Agent Switcher and Web Deve­lo­per exten­sions have been upda­ted to be com­pa­ti­ble with the upco­ming release of Fire­fox 2.0.

If you are having pro­blems ins­ta­lling the exten­sions please try down­loa­ding and ins­ta­lling again from this site follo­wing the sug­ges­tions in the ins­ta­lla­tion trou­bleshoo­ting sec­tion of the documentation.

    Para­dox — This is not a new ver­sion, the exten­sion has just been mar­ked as com­pa­ti­ble with Fire­fox 2.0.

    First: Thanks for these great exten­sions! :)

    Found a pro­blem with inc­lu­ded svg objects (Web Deve­lo­per Exten­sion):
    “Dis­play Ele­ment infor­ma­tion”, “Dis­play Id & Class Details” and other func­tions don’t dis­play pro­perly when an svg object is inc­lu­ded in a html page.

    Just wan­ted to men­tion that I just upda­ted from the 1.5 branch to 2.0 and the Web Deve­lo­per exten­sion was read by Fire­fox as compatible.

    Found a small pro­blem with ‘View Source | View Gene­ra­ted Source’ in Web Deve­lo­per 1.0.2: The DOM win­dow is too small and not resizable.

    Other­wise, I just want to thank you, Chris, for this very use­ful exten­sion. I use it every­day, espe­cially the ‘Out­line | Out­line Table Cells’ feature.

    D Yee — The ‘View Gene­ra­ted Source’ fea­ture just does the same as selec­ting all the text on the page and choo­sing ‘View Selec­tion Source’ from the con­text menu so it is a stan­dard fea­ture of the brow­ser. If you are having pro­blems you should file a bug in Bug­zi­lla.

    Keys­troke Con­flict: Cntl+Shift+T on Win­dows to dis­play the tool­bar has been taken by Undo Close Tab in 2.0

    Dark­side — The key­board short­cuts are all con­fi­gu­ra­ble in the options so you can change this your­self. The short­cut has been chan­ged to Ctrl+Shift+B for the next release.

    Bob — Both exten­sions are fully com­pa­ti­ble with the latest ver­sion of Fire­fox — if you are having pro­blems please read the documentation.
