A couple of weeks ago Laughing Squid posted about a pillow fight in San Francisco planned for February 14th. Not only did this sound fun, but I figured that it would be a good opportunity to take some amusing photos.
So I headed down to Justin Herman Plaza after work not really knowing what to expect…I was in for quite a surprise!
I was thinking that not too many people would show up given that it was Valentine’s Day, but as I was heading to the fight I started seeing more and more people running past me clutching pillows under their arms. By the time I got to the plaza it was just before 6pm and the fight had already started.
Fight, Fight, Fight
There were hundreds of people in a mass brawl with pillows and feathers flying everywhere to a soundtrack of shrieks, cheers and laughter. Around the the fight were a bunch of spectators enjoying the display while taking photos and video. The brave photographers headed into the middle of it all, but I stayed on the outskirts where I took the occasional blow to the head and dumping of feathers.
