Web Developer 1.0.1

Ver­sion 1.0.1 of the Web Deve­lo­per exten­sion has been relea­sed. This is a patch release con­tai­ning a few minor bug fixes.

The loca­li­zed build has also now been upda­ted to the latest ver­sion. If you have already ins­ta­lled ver­sion 1.0 there should be no issues upgra­ding, but other­wise it is recom­men­ded to unins­tall the pre­vious ver­sion before upgrading.

Update: A cou­ple of bugs have been dis­co­ve­red with the ‘Edit CSS’ fea­ture so you may want to hold off on upgra­ding for the moment.

Update 2: The CSS bugs have been fixed and the exten­sion has been repla­ced with the fixed ver­sion. I did not change the ver­sion num­ber as the fix was minor, so if you have already ins­ta­lled this ver­sion you will need to re-install the extension.

    Loca­li­zed ver­sion seems to be bro­ken. The chrome.manifest file con­tains errors in loca­les where the exten­sion name is miss­pe­lled “wede­ve­lo­per” ins­tead of “webdeveloper”.

    Looks like everything is going pretty smooth!

    Now, I have to ask the all-time, most stu­pid ques­tion ever — while it’s on my mind…

    I’m a keen user of ‘Web Deve­lo­per’, and as such, I don’t feel a need to use ‘icons’ with its’ inter­face, e.g. I dis­play the tool­bar in ‘text’ mode only. All the icons do is get in my way.

    Today, I had to use another com­pu­ter, and it had ‘icons & text’ ena­bled. Gawd! I could hardly use it. I kept apo­lo­gi­zing for hit­ting the wrong icon. I told ‘them’ I wasn’t used to using them, blah, blah, blah.

    Any­way, it got me thin­king, “I won­der what Chris uses?”

    Do you (pero­nally) uses ‘icons’, ‘text’, or ‘icons & text’?

    Heh! I told you it was going to be a stu­pid ques­tion… ;)

    Most of the default set­tings are how I use the exten­sion and the same is true for this set­ting — I use ‘Icons & Text’.

    I ins­ta­lled now the 1.0.2… I wrtie here because no topic is open for this version!

    Here a little thing I found (may be is know…): Edit HTML didn’t work in page with Frame… or bet­ter, work nor­mally but only in the main page…

    Is a know issues? The­res a workaround?

    Right-click the frame -> This Frame -> Show Only This Frame -> Web Deve­lo­per -> Mis­ce­lla­neous -> Edit HTML
