Re: Huge Import List!

O.K.    I  open  the  link  :   http://pastebin.com/f46de849f  and  there  are  the  user-agents,  but  can  s.one  help  me  now:  How   do  I  import    them  into  the  user-agent  switch?
I  saved  them  on  a  file  on  the  hard  disk  but  the  Us.ag.switch  doesnt  want  to import it  bercause  it  is  not a  XML-document I  assume.

                   What  should   I  do???

Re: Huge Import List!

I downloaded the file as an XML file using the download link on the page and imported it through the options without any problems so I'm not sure why it's not working for you.

As long as the file has an XML extension and just the contents of the user agents it should import without any issues.

Re: Huge Import List!

First off, thank you Chris for making this plugin!

As a mobile developer, I try to keep up with the devices coming out constantly, but it is hard.

My humble contribution to the list of (mobile) user agents is located here:

http://pastebin.com/CpmdwcVc

It has grouping in Mobile devices, Mobile browsers and desktop browsers (including some crawlers etc.). Some come from previous posted lists, so do not feel ripped, this is merely a recognition of your time.

Thanks all and keep up the good work!

Useful information about user agents for mobile devices can be found here:

Good luck all!

Re: Huge Import List!

Artens, as a mobile developer, can you check out the new user-agent switcher list I constructed recently?

I actually built this to test some of my own user agent scripts, but the mobile section ended up being a lot more in-depth than I'd planned.

I organized the mobile stuff into categories, os, browser, device etc, with cross referencing in some cases, ie, same user agents used for different categories, I'm debating going through some of data here and adding more to it, if there's any demand for that it's easy to do.

Re: Huge Import List!

Here is a new one to add smile

IE9's user string:

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; Creative AutoUpdate v1.40.01)

This is the BETA versions string and could change.

You can check the authenticity here:
