I installed the iOS 13 beta on my iPad to test it out, but was planning on waiting to update my iPhone. However, I edited a shortcut on my iPad and now it won’t work on my phone unless I upgrade. I might have to pull the trigger on updating there as well now 😬

@chrispederick I just edited an existing shortcut to change the color and add it to the widget – I didn’t add any new functionality. I guess the new Shortcuts app uses a slightly different format 🤷♂️ Fortunately I remembered I had backed up all my shortcuts to iCloud Drive so I was able to restore an old version that works in both iOS 12 and 13. I’m resisting iOS 13 on my phone…for now 😉
“Shortcuts opened on iOS & iPadOS 13 beta are automatically upgraded and can no longer be opened on iOS 12.”.
Also important:
Shortcuts are currently unavailable when using Siri on Apple Watch, HomePod, and CarPlay.
@jl_siewert @burk Ah ha! Thank you for pointing that out. It’s almost as if I should have read the release notes when installing a beta that Apple explicitly recommends not to install 😊

@chrispederick oh! Did you add a new shortcut feature from iOS 13? Or is that shortcut just now somehow only compatible with 13+ now?
