Interesting article! I think the photo versus illustration point is an important one. WebP is great for this scenario and much smaller in file size than PNG in my experience.



Yup, for sure! I thought this article was interesting because many people I’d talked to assumed WebP was always smaller so this was a good counterpoint suggesting it can vary.
